About me

I love working with others to support their development – individuals, teams, or groups on leadership or talent development programmes.

For the first 23 years of my career, as a social researcher, one of the most satisfying elements of my job was managing and developing individuals and teams. In 2018 I trained to become an internal coach within my organisation. This had such an impact on me that - with the help of a coach - I changed career, moving into the HR team as Learning and Development Partner, and then Head of Learning and Development. In this role I was responsible for the planning and delivery of all the learning and development initiatives within the organisation and ran the Internal Coach Programme. Realising that coaching and training are where my passion really lies, in 2024 I left employment to set up my own coaching and training practice.

I get a great deal of joy and satisfaction from my own learning and development. My goal is to be the best coach and facilitator I can be for my clients and one of the ways I do that is through continous formal learning. Having gained my Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coach Federation my next course is focused on Transactional Analysis - sometimes known as the parent/adult/child model and focused on how we relate to each other.

Away from coaching I’m a keen walker, photographer, traveller and wildlife watcher. If I can do all four at once I’m living the dream! Being in nature is really important to me, particularly in relation to my mental health.

Those I’ve worked with describe me as being friendly, curious, warm, supportive and empathetic, and that I challenge them ‘gently but powerfully’.
